英国Halewood出售Crabbie's姜汁啤酒 专注烈酒业务

UK-based Halewood Artisanal Spirits has offloaded its alcoholic ginger beer brand Crabbie’s to Brookfield Drinks as part of its strategy to focus on spirits.
Crabbie’s will get an investment boost from Brookfield The Crabbie’s brand is said to date back to Edinburgh in 1801.
Crabbie’s is made using a six-week ginger steeping process.
The brand’s range includes its alcoholic ginger beer and ginger wine, as well as raspberry and blood orange variants.
Stewart Hainsworth, CEO of Halewood Artisanal Spirits, said: “The sale of Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer, is another exciting step forward for the Halewood company as part of its spirits-focused artisanal brand strategy.
“Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer will be a core brand for Brookfield Drinks and they have some exciting plans to continue to support and grow Crabbie’s in the UK and beyond.”
Halewood will continue to produce Crabbie’s for Brookfield Drinks in the UK, although the company has not disclosed where.
Financial terms of agreement, which was completed on 7 August, have not been disclosed.
Based in Bedfordshire, Brookfield is a UK sales and marketing company for alcoholic drinks.
The business is mainly focused on beer and cider.
Brookfield Drinks plans to significantly increase marketing investment behind Crabbie’s, with the aim of strengthening the brand’s presence across UK retail and hospitality, and export markets.
Nigel McNally, founder of Brookfield Drinks and former managing director of Wells & Young’s, described “Crabbie’s as a must-stock product within the fast-growing fruit/ flavoured beer market”.
He continued: “The brand has outstanding heritage and awareness, not only within the UK but internationally as well.”
Further details regarding the future direction of the brand and planned marketing activity will be announced in the coming months.
The divestment of Crabbie’s follows Halewood’s sale of its JJ vodka and gin brand to Polish firm United Beverages Group in January 2026.
Halewood also produces a Scotch whisky under the Crabbie name and single malts at its Bonnington Distillery in Leith, Scotland.
The company’s portfolio also includes Whitley Neill gin, Dead Man’s Fingers rum, Welsh whisky Aber Falls, The Pogues Irish whiskey and Liverpool Gin.
