百加得与EcoSpirits达成全球合作 推动烈酒行业可持续包装转型
家族-owned酒业巨头百加得近日与封闭式循环包装技术公司EcoSpirits达成全球战略合作，成为继保乐力加和Rémy Cointreau之后最新加入该可持续发展计划的国际烈酒集团。EcoSpirits的可重复灌装系统旨在大幅减少烈酒行业的一次性玻璃瓶和包装废弃物，推动行业向循环经济模式转型。
Family-owned Bacardi has become the latest drinks company to agree a global partnership with closed-loop packaging specialist EcoSpirits, following Pernod Ricard and Rémy Cointreau.
EcoSpirits’ system sees premium spirits sent to venues in reusable containers rather than individual glass bottles, reducing packaging and transportation emissions. The EcoTote 2.0 container uses 90% less carbon than traditional single-use glass containers.
As part of the tie-up, Bacardi will supply its portfolio of premium brands via the EcoSpirits system in the on-trade. The system has already been tested by Bacardi in the global travel retail channel and in Japan.
Bacardi chief supply chain officer John Burke said the company was ‘thrilled to be partnering with EcoSpirits to accelerate the transition to a circular economy for our premium spirit brands’.
EcoSpirits founder and CEO Paul Gabie added: ‘Having Bacardi as a partner sends a powerful signal that the entire industry is ready to embrace and adopt circular economy solutions at scale.’
