Bacardi旗下Angel's Envy推出Cellar Collection窖藏系列第六版，为系列首个采用双桶收尾的作品。这款直馏黑麦威士忌由首席蒸馏师Owen Martin打造，原酒陈年8至11年，其中部分在桃子白兰地桶中收尾15至23个月，其余在烘烤桶中熟成6至12个月。限量版将于10月9日起在美国上市。
Bacardi-owned Angel’s Envy has unveiled the sixth edition of its Cellar Collection, which is the first in the series to feature two cask finishes.
Angel’s Envy Cellar Collection Volume 6 is a straight rye whiskey finished in two types of barrels: ex-peach brandy and toasted.
Created by master distiller Owen Martin , the straight rye includes whiskeys aged between eight and 11 years.
Some parts of the whiskey were aged for 15 to 23 months in peach brandy casks, while others were matured for six to 12 months in toasted barrels.
“The Cellar Collection is where we challenge ourselves to explore what’s possible through finishing, while using the very best of our whiskey archives,” Martin explained. “With Volume 6, I wanted to build layers of flavour.
“The peach brandy barrels bring vibrant fruitiness, while the toasted oak adds warmth. Together, they create a whiskey that’s complex yet balanced, elevating rye in unexpected ways.”
Bottled at 53.2% ABV, Cellar Collection Volume 6 offers aromas of ripe stone fruit, baking spice, vanilla, and oak. On the palate, it displays notes of peach, caramel, cinnamon, toasted oak, rye spice, and orchard fruit.
Angel’s Envy Cellar Collection Volume 6: Straight Rye Whiskey Finished in Peach Brandy & Toasted Oak Barrels will be available nationwide in the US from 9 October.
The release is limited to around 36,000 bottles, with each 750ml bottle retailing for US$199.99.
Last month, Angel’s Envy announced the latest edition of its Distillery Series , finished in imperial stout and amburana barrels.
Earlier this year, the Louisville-based distillery relaunched its Cask Strength Bourbon and debuted a 10-Year Cask Strength Rye.
