美国法院裁定BuzzBallz在与Patco Brands的不正当竞争诉讼中胜诉
美国加州北区联邦地区法院就Patco Brands提起的不正当竞争法（UCL）诉讼作出简易判决，判即饮鸡尾酒品牌BuzzBallz胜诉，Patco反诉全部被驳回。两家公司自2023年互诉：BuzzBallz指控Patco的Big Sipz系列抄袭其200毫升彩色PET瓶加铝盖包装；Patco则以网络抢注、专利审查与诉讼行为不当等为由反诉。
A US court has ruled in favour of ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail brand BuzzBallz in an Unfair Competition Law case brought by Patco Brands. The US District Court for the Northern District of California has granted summary judgement in favour of BuzzBallz on Unfair Competition Law (UCL) claims bought by Patco. BuzzBallz originally sued Patco in late 2023 for intellectual property infringement, alleging that the firm had designed and marketed its Big Sipz line of RTDs to trade on BuzzBallz’ goodwill.
Both product lines feature RTD cocktails packaged in colourful 200ml PET plastic bottles with aluminium lids and ring pull tabs.
