Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs from London-based advisory firm Interpath have been appointed joint administrators for GlenWyvis Distillery.
Interpath has announced that there will be no further production at GlenWyvis Distillery in Dingwall, following the appointment of Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs as joint administrators.
The distillery’s management committee filed a Notice of Intention to Appoint Administrators in late-September, after what it described as ‘a prolonged period of substantive commercial, operational and legal issues on the business, driven by challenging conditions across the whisky market, rising operating costs and sustained external pressures’.
Interpath has confirmed ‘with regret’ that three members of staff at GlenWyvis have been made redundant.
The joint administrator’s focus will now be on securing the distillery’s remaining stocks and equipment ahead of a potential sale of assets.
