Top 10 most popular whisky distilleries in 2026 released
Cask Connoisseur has released its annual ranking of the UK and Ireland's favourite whisky distilleries. The index analyses 3,564 data points from Google ratings, TripAdvisor reviews, and social media metrics across Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn. Scotland dominated with six entries in the top 10, while a producer from the Republic of Ireland claimed the top spot.
Cask Connoisseur has released its annual ranking of the UK and Ireland’s favourite whisky distilleries. Now in its fourth year, the list is created by The Cask Connoisseur, analysing 3,564 data points from Google ratings and reviews, TripAdvisor ratings and reviews, and social media metrics covering Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
The 2026 top 10 featured no distilleries from Northern Ireland or Wales. Scotland dominated with six distilleries. However, it was a producer from the Republic of Ireland that was deemed to be the region’s most loved.
The top 10 includes: Micil Distillery (10th), Isle of Harris Distillery (9th), Dingle Distillery (8th), and others featuring a mix of Scottish and Irish distilleries. The Cask Connoisseur noted that the list ranks each distillery’s online popularity, visitor reputation and social media reach, not the quality of spirits being produced.
