苏格兰低地家族酒厂Jackton Distillery发布首款单一麦芽威士忌「Raer The Inaugural Release」，6000瓶于9月4日起发售。酒款完全由酒厂自酿，融合波本桶、佩德罗希梅内斯、阿蒙蒂亚多与欧洛罗索雪莉桶陈酿，酒精度48.7%，非冷凝过滤、保留自然色泽，建议零售价68英镑（约92美元），现可通过官网订购。酒厂坐落于格拉斯哥附近的Kean家族农场。
Family-owned Jackton Distillery in the Scottish Lowlands has launched its first single malt whisky, Raer The Inaugural Release. The distillery, situated on the Kean family farm near Glasgow, will begin shipping the first bottles of its milestone single malt today (4 September).
The single malt is made entirely at the Jackton Distillery , drawn from Bourbon, Pedro Ximénez, amontillado, and oloroso Sherry casks. It is bottled at 48.7% ABV with natural colour and non-chill filtered.
Limited to 6,000 individually numbered bottles, the expression retails for £68 (US$92) and is now available to ship from the distillery’s website. According to historic records, Raer The Inaugural Release is believed to be the first whisky distilled, matured and bottled in South Lanarkshire in more than 180 years.
The last historic malt distillery to operate within the modern boundaries of South Lanarkshire was Gill, near Lesmahagow, which closed in 1840. Other distilleries recorded in the area have reportedly included Castle Hill at Carluke, Avonglen at Larkhall, and Wilsontown near Carnwath.
After an 186-year whisky production hiatus in the area, Jackton Distillery filled its first cask in February 2020.
